EARLY PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS - 1 June 2008- 12 April 2008, with the decision of the President of the Parliament, the early parliamentary elections were announced. - 1 June 2008 – Election Day - Polling stations will open from 07.00 to 19.00. - 120 members of the Parliament are elected under the proportional method. The results are determined with the D’hondt formula. - 20 Members of the Parliament are elected from each of the 6 election districts. - 1.779.116 voters are registered in the Voters’ List, or 37.667 more compared to 2006. - 1.929 persons are in detention or imprisoned
